The Ten-Minute HR Workflow for Sending Christmas Credit to Everyone at Once

What company-wide Christmas rewards look like when HR sends value instead of managing hundreds of individual gift choices.

Christmas gifting should not require a Christmas operations team

A company-wide reward is conceptually simple: decide who should receive it, decide the value, send it and make sure employees know what to do next. The complexity usually appears because the company also takes responsibility for choosing and distributing the final gift.

A credit-based workflow removes that shopping decision from HR. The exact setup time will depend on the company, employee data and approvals, but the operating goal is straightforward: once the store and team are configured, issuing Christmas credit should be a short administrative action rather than a sourcing project.

Think minutes of programme administration, not weeks of gift selection.

1. Confirm the recipient group

Start with the employees who should receive the Christmas allocation. For a company-wide programme, that may simply be all active employees. For a regional programme, filter to the relevant team or market.

The important thing is that eligibility lives in the reward workflow rather than a separate gifting spreadsheet that immediately begins going stale.

Clean recipient data is still important, but HR should not need product-level data such as sizes or gift preferences.

2. Set the value

Choose the credit amount per employee. The same value can be issued consistently while employees later make different selections.

For multi-country teams, local currency and catalogue presentation matter. A global policy can still be delivered through locally relevant employee experiences.

This is where PeopleCredits coverage becomes part of programme design rather than an afterthought.

3. Add the Christmas context

Give the allocation a clear reason and message. Choice should not turn a Christmas reward into anonymous spending power. Employees should know that the company is thanking them for the year.

Programme rules, including any expiry, should also be clear at the point of issue. HR should not have to explain hidden conditions after employees start shopping.

4. Send

Once recipients, value and programme rules are confirmed, issue the credit. The workflow should be the same whether the list contains one person or hundreds; scale should change the number of recipients, not the conceptual complexity of the action.

Employees are alerted and can enter their branded store to choose from the catalogue available to them.

That is the practical version of create your store, give credit, they shop.

5. Watch activation rather than courier spreadsheets

After issue, HR's useful questions become: did employees activate, are they spending, are there people who need a reminder and are there genuine support exceptions?

Those signals are more useful than manually tracking hundreds of identical parcels. They tell you whether employees are engaging with the reward rather than merely whether a courier marked something delivered.

For Christmas, that means HR can focus on participation while employees make their own shopping decisions.

The ten-minute idea is a design target

No responsible platform should promise that every company's first-ever setup takes exactly ten minutes. Employee imports, approvals and funding can vary. The point is that the recurring issuance action should be designed to become extremely short once the company is configured.

Christmas should eventually feel like another use of your reward infrastructure, not an annual rebuild. Explore the broader Christmas PeopleCredits workflow.
