Two weeks out is a simplification exercise
If your Christmas reward is still not funded two weeks before the holiday, this is not the moment to add more programme complexity. The fastest path is to close the four decisions that actually block issuance: recipients, value, funding and employee communication.
Everything optional should be challenged. Custom packaging, complicated reward tiers and last-minute catalogue requests can be useful, but not if they delay the core appreciation moment.
The objective is a clean, credible launch.
Confirm the employee list
Get the final eligible population from HR. Resolve duplicates, missing work emails and country information before funding becomes the excuse for waiting.
If your workforce spans several markets, confirm which employees belong to which country experience. Local catalogue and currency should follow the employee, not the location of headquarters.
Use PeopleCredits coverage to understand the markets presented as supported.
Approve one clear value policy
Decide what each employee should receive. If values differ by country or employee group, document the logic so HR and finance are working from the same rule.
Avoid inventing extra tiers simply because there is still time to discuss them. Every exception becomes another thing to explain and reconcile.
Simple does not mean thoughtless. It means the programme's purpose is obvious.
Get finance out of the critical path
Confirm the amount that needs to be funded, who approves it and what internal payment process must happen. Finance teams have their own December deadlines; do not assume a transfer can be arranged instantly because the employee experience is digital.
The platform can make issuing credit fast. It cannot remove your company's internal approval process.
Treat funding as today's task, not launch-day admin.
Use the store you have
If your company store is already configured, resist the urge to redesign it for Christmas. Add the right message and programme context, then use the infrastructure you already built.
That is one of the benefits of a persistent store: December should be another issuance moment rather than another website project.
Send, then manage activation
Once funded, issue the credit and shift attention to whether employees have received and activated it. A reminder to the small group that has not logged in is more useful than holding the entire programme for another cosmetic improvement.
If you are already at that stage, read what to do when employees have not logged in yet.
